This thesis is developed by raising commodification issues of religious symbols in decoration Islamic Idul Fithr day’s of a mall’s void . As if is known, the theory of cultural consumption that a mall is a space that serves as a place, as spaces of consumption, as a meeting venue for visitors from various cultures, sub cultures, race, gender and age. To create a space that functions as a place, a mall requires an orientation center of all types of existing space within the mall which includes voids. Activities and event through out the year will enlighten the spirit in voids. The calendar of event will manage the space consumption process. Ied Fithr event is a theme that was appointed to determine the extent to which commodification influences within the mall’s void. In this space, the participation in conducting the event, occurs and arises where contradiction role something sacred (the deity) becomes profane (worldly). Real religious culture is something that is clean, pure, honest and far from the cultural hedonism which then became a full market with deception and always emphasis on material gains. Over time, the two culture synergize by this commodification which is the market rules. Commodification as a social tool has legitimized social class differences in a way to reproduce and produce a cultural space with aesthetization.
